  • Gentle Skin care

Our original bar of Honey, oats and Goats milk soaps are perfect for delicate and sensitive skin. Made with only 100% fresh locally produced ingredients and scent free. The oats help reduce redness and itching, the honey is a natural humectant and will draw and hold vital moisture in the skin, it also is a great antibacterial, helping prevent or treat any infection, while the goats milk is gentle and soothing. This is the bar that started the whole business, my son had really bad infantile eczema, he cried constantly and did not sleep for more than about 15 mins day or night. As the usual cycles of creams and steroids etc were not helping I turned to more natural remedies ... which worked so well for him, we launched the business from it. Check them out : www.sweetescape.co.uk

TOP TIP: If your child has similar issues, try a simple and cheap "oat bath". Water is very drying to the skin, so bathing is not encouraged daily if your child has skin issues. When you do bath them add some traditional oats (preferably organic) to the bath (in a muslin bag or in the toe of clean tights - so it does not clog your drain) The bath will turn milky and feel smooth to the touch. The oats are a natural antihistamine and with help take any redness and itch away. When the child gets out of the bath, squeeze any excess water from the oat bag and you should notice a gel like substance - dab this on the worst affected areas of skin and air dry - rough towels can also aggravate the skin, so pat rather than rub.

If you try this, please let us know how you get on.

Our vision is simple: to pay forward the love of learning instilled in us by a very special mother and grandmother.

Education was the foundation on which we built our future, and it is the premise of progress: in every society and in every family. We are four siblings and three grandchildren, for whom family and love of learning go hand in glove; from celebrating the joys of an abacus and counting to the challenges of moving to big school and beyond. We are still learning, because we know it is a life-long pursuit. We would love you to visit us and even if it’s just the purchase of a book or resource, a glance at one of our many quotes or a visit to our study hub, we want you to feel that you will be smarter when you leave…
