How are things with you? I'm sure you are exhausted after that 3 week holiday across America! How was San Francisco and Vegas? You must love those places I'm guessing as you keep going back for more, four times if I'm correct in thinking, you lucky thing! We aren’t heading away this year as we can only go away during term time so all holidays are 4 times the price of heading away any other time of year plus we would only have to put the kids to bed at 7 pm and then sit in the minuscule bathroom having a glass of wine until it was time for us to go to bed. The joys of sharing a hotel room with 2 kids eh but sure we would be up and ready for the pool by 7 am so no time for hangovers!
Sorry I haven’t been in touch but I suppose you know how it goes for me these days. One minute its Monday in January the next we are putting up our Christmas tree at the start of December – we have to start early to get that barricade built around it to keep Olivia from launching herself at it again this year. I honestly don’t know where the times go and yet we never get a minute!
How was the “Party of the year”? I heard it was crazy! Louise told me you all didn’t head out to the pub until 10 pm!! You Rebels!! If only I could stay up that late but I’m in my onesie with my cup of Bedtime tea at that time. She also told me you guys didn’t get up until lunch time the next day and followed that with a little afternoon nap before your Chinese arrived..living the dream right there girl! I'm so sorry we couldn’t make it but we had two kids parties back to back at the soft play centre then the next day we were up and out for 9 am so Olivia could go to her Mini Glee club and Zanna had a date at the Library for Rhyme time. We had several hours over us by lunchtime so had two loads of washing out and dried by then.
Did you ever get your car sorted? I did think I spotted you coming out of the hairdressers a few weeks ago with those flowing locks and getting in to a cream Mini Cooper. I thought it might have been yours as the back seat was full of River Island carrier bags but I doubted it for a split section when I thought about how small the boot is in a Mini sure you couldn’t get a suitcase in it never mind anything else. They are very cool and trendy cars I must admit but the ‘soccer mom’ minivan has grown on me and I can park it no problem as long as there aren’t cars on either side of me. In fact even just writing this reminds me I need to make a hair appointment to get this postpartum hair sorted out and get those greys covered…Ill add it to my ‘To Do’ list which is every growing by the day.
Ill not ramble on as ive to pop off and make three different lunches now - one for me, one for Olivia and one for Zanna lets just hope I pick the right colour of Ikea plastic plate to put it on or it will kick off!!
Let’s get together soon – let me know your availability as I will have to work a coffee around the kids. Monday we have swimming, Tuesday is the toddler group, Wednesday is dance class, Thursday is Rhythm and Rhyme, Friday is The Girls Brigade and Saturday is Glee club. I’m sure we could get together sometime in between all that just give me enough notice and I mean weeks not days
Oh gosh I’m making motherhood sound a right bore but its definitely not. Yes you have lows but the highs far outweigh these and I just have to look at my kids to know there is nowhere I would rather be than with them….well except for Barbados I would always rather be in Barbados!! HAHA!
Lots of love,

Dear Angela, I’m writing to you from beyond parenthood. You are fours years in and haven’t totally lost your marbles, so I thought it was time to share some of the things I’ve learned about myself, I mean you, well both really. I know...
