This months Craft Hub will see the whole family take part in making a keepsake hand print canvas/picture.
We decided to use our time together during the COVID-19 Lockdown to create this sentimental craft to keep on our wall to remind ourselves of our strong family bond. After the Lockdown, we will get our family name printed on to it from a local company.
For this craft you will need:
Various colours of paint (we used acrylic)
An A4 blank canvas/page/card
Glitter (optional)
This is a great project for children of all ages and will help with developing their turn taking skills and paint mixing abilities.
Enjoy!
For this craft you will need:

An A4 blank canvas/page/card
Glitter (optional)
Paint your canvas/page/card any colour you wish.
We chose to use a colour that would compliment the colour scheme of our livingroom, grey. We opted for a dark grey and created this by mixing black and white together to the desired darkness.
Allow canvas/paper/card to dry fully.
The person with the largest hands goes first, in our case it was Daddy. Paint the right hand with the persons chosen colour and place it in the middle of the canvas/page/card. Push down hard to ensure an even transfer of paint and peel away slowly.
If you are using glitter, sprinkle a heavy layer in a co-ordinating colour on top of the handprint while it is still wet. Allow paint to dry before tapping excess glitter off.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the next person, in our case it was Mummy's turn. It's important to allow each print to dry before the next one is applied.
If your child has chosen a colour that is not available in your paint selection, just mix colours together to get the one they want. In our case, our little girl wanted purple. She mixed together blue, red and white to create liliac and repeated steps 3 and 4.
Our little boy was last to do his print. He displayed a great level of patience waiting on his turn.
This was our finished creation. Colourful and glittery just the way we like it.
If you didnt use a canvas you can display your finished piece in a photo frame.
If you and your family create this craft, we would be delighted to see the outcome. Send us a pic to our Facebook Page
