It's the most wonderful time of the year! As part of our Daughter's homework, she had to make a decoration for the classroom Christmas tree using things from around the home. What better decoration to make than a reindeer, a Rudolph one at that!
The children will really enjoy this easy craft, which is suitable for all ages. They are ideal to be made as gifts for Grandparents or for your own tree.
For each child taking part in this project you will need: brown maker/paint, 3 lollipop sticks, 4 matchsticks, 2 googly eyes and a small red pompom. You could also use bows, diamontes and glitter to add a touch of bling.
All items used in this Craft Hub editition were found in the Christmas Craft Tub from Home Bargains, except for the bow.
Enjoy!
Provide each child with a brown marker/some brown paint, 3 lollipop sticks, 4 matchsticks, 2 googly eyes and 1 small red pompom. This will make one decoration
Colour each of the lollipop sticks brown.
Glue the brown lollipop sticks together in an upside down A shape.
Glue the googly eyes and red pompom onto the lollipop sticks, to represent Rudolph's face.
Glue the matchstick on to the lollipop sticks, two each side, to represent Rudoph's antlers.
Finally, add a little bit of ribbon or string to make a hanging loop so that you can put your decoration on the tree. We have also added a little velvet bow to one of ours to make a lady reindeer.
Hang your completed decoration on the Christmas tree or give as a gift to a loved one to cherish for many years to come.
Have you made this craft? We would be delighted to see the outcome.
