Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the first Mums NI Craft Hub of 2020.

The New Year kick starts the birthday celebrations in our house with our little ones birthday being the middle of January.   So for this months Craft Hub we are going to be making paper plate party hats!  Children of all ages will enjoy taking part in this craft. We think its an ideal birthday party activity for little ones.

For each child participating you will need:

a paper plate
coloured paints/crayons/markers/pencils - whichever you prefer to use
glitter (optional)
sequins/diamontes/jewels

You will also need scissors and PVA glue.

Enjoy!

Step 3

Cut the plate in to equal portions (like a pizza) from the centre of the folded line to the beginning of the ridges on the plate.

Then, unfold the plate and cut along the two remaining folded lines as above.

Step 4

Paint your paper plate in your chosen colour/colours. If you are using glitter, now is the time to sprinkle it on so that it sticks to the paint while it dries.

Stick on your diamontes, jewels, sequins with a dab of PVA glue.

Remember, there is no right or wrong way to decorate your crown. Let your childs imagination run wild, the possibilities are endless!

Once your crown has fully dried in - put it on and enjoy the party!!

We hope that you enjoyed this months Craft Hub and that your little ones have a great time crafting.
