School is well and truly out for Summer and we have been enjoying the back garden, not to the extent that we did last year though, but still we have to make the most of it even on the grey days.

Kids love bubbles so we decided to make our own super duper easy bubble wands. The little ones will really enjoy this craft - which is suitable for all ages. It will help build up their hand eye co-ordination and teach them about shapes and colours.

For each child taking part in this craft you will need:

1 colourful pipe cleaner
1 playdoh cutter in any shape
Handful of colouful beads
1 shallow plate with bubble mixture (we use our Ikea plastic plates)

These wands can be as colourful as you wish and will create hours of summer play time fun. We think they would be a fantasic make and take for party favours.

Enjoy

Step 2

Wrap the pipe cleaner tightly around your playdoh cutter once, twisting the bottom to secure the shape and leaving a handle.

Step 3

Thread the beads onto the handle in any pattern you wish. Using imagination here really creates a bespoke wand to be proud of.

Step 4

Once you beads have been threaded on to the handle, twist the bottom of the pipe cleaner to secure them.

Step 5

You can use all different types of beads and cutters to create wands unique to you.

Now you are ready to get bubble blowing.  Pour some bubble mixture onto a shallow plate - we use our Ikea plastic plates, and dip your wand in to get some mixture. Blow blow blow, enjoy the bubbles!!

If your child makes this craft, we would be delighted to see their pics!
