This months craft hub will be dedicated to those pesky clouds we've been getting.  Don't worry though, ours will be beautifully coloured! We hear the good weather is on the way - here's hoping anyway!

Kids of all ages can participate in this craft, but adult supervision will be required during the use of scissors.

For each child taking part in this project you will need:

1 paper plate
30 cottonwool balls
3 different coloured pages/felt
PVA glue

These whimsical clouds can be as colourful as you wish and are super easy to make. This craft provides a great sensory experience for little ones by way of texture from the cottonwool balls and felt. It's also fab for building up confidence with counting skills by asking your child to count the cottonwool balls as they place them on their cloud.

Enjoy!

Step 1

For each child taking part in this craft you will need:

1 paper plate
30 cottonwool balls
3 different coloured pages/felt
PVA glue

Step 2

Cut the paper plate in half to create semi-circles. You will use one half to make your cloud. If you want to make two clouds, just double your cottonwool balls and felt.

Step 3

Spread PVA glue on the back of the plate.

Step 4

Now stick the cottonwool balls all over the PVA glue. See, it's starting to look like a fluffy cloud.

Step 5

From each colour of paper/felt, cut 3 strips off each so you have 9 in total.

Step 6

Turn your cloud over so that the cottonwool balls are face down. Now stick your strips of paper/felt to the plate in any order you wish.

Step 7

Display your colourful clouds proudly for all to see. Admire how beautiful they are.  You could also add glitter if you wish for some extra sparkle, or even some googly eyes for character. The only limit is your imagination.

Have your little ones made this craft? We would be delighted to see the outcome.

Love,
