This months Craft Hub will see little ones take delight in making these pretty paper flowers in time for Mother's Day - perfect for adding to the top of presents or even added to a home made card.
Each child taking part in this craft will need:
You will also need a stapler and some sellotape.
This is a great project for children of all ages and will help with pinching skills and accuracy.
For each child participating in this activity you will need:
Fold your piece of coloured paper as if you are making a paper fan. Try to make each fold the same size.
Fold your paper over to create a crease in the middle of the paper.
Staple the crease that you made in the previous step.
Cut both edges of your paper to create rounded edges - adult supervision is required for younger children.
Open one side of fanned paper and sellotape the edges together. It's starting to resemble a flower now.
Repeat Step 6 on the other side.
Taa-daaah now you have some lovely paper flowers.
You can add embellishments to your flowers if you wish. Here, we have just added a coordinating coloured jewel to each flower. You could add sequins, diamontes, glitter. Have fun!
