Yet again we've had a lot of toilet roll tubes saved up specifically for crafts so we decided to make these cute bat party favour boxes for our Halloween Party. Adorable to say the least.

For each child taking part in this project you will need:

x1 Toilet Roll tube
x1 Cutting of coloured felt
x1 Cutting of white felt
various sizes of googly eyes
splodge of paint

You will also need some PVA glue

This craft is perfect for children of ALL ages and abilities - they could even put their own twist on this craft to make mini frankensteins, mummies, ghosts or witches - let their imaginations run wild.  .

We will be using our bats as party favour boxes for our Halloween party this year by just popping open the bottom and squishing in a packet of fun sized haribos or fun size marsbars etc - kids get a treat and cute character to play with.

Enjoy

Step 2

Let's get started.

Fold the edges of the toilet roll tube in on themselves to make a pillow box shape.

Step 3

Paint the toilet roll tube any colour you wish and allow it to dry.  We used a sparkly purple colour.

Step 4

Stick on your googly eye/eyes - how many you wish, it's entirely up to you how many eyes your character has.

Step 5

From the white felt, cut out triangles to make fangs. Stick them onto the toilet roll tube. Your bat is starting to take shape now. Cute!

Step 6

From your coloured piece of felt, draw the shape of bat wings and then cut them out.

Adult supervision is required for this part as we don't want any little fingers being snipped.

Step 7

Stick your wings onto the back of the toilet roll tube. Yay you've got your bat!! Isn't it adorable?

Step 8

You can make as many different characters as you wish. You can even add embelishments to add a bit of flair. Here we have added a golden star to one.

Enjoy your new friends.

We hope that you enjoyed this months Craft Hub and that your little ones have a great time crafting.

Happy Halloween from the Mums NI Team!
