Musical Maestros is an affordable musical activity group for children from Nursery school age to Primary 7. Classes starting on Saturday 7th September @ North Belfast Harriers Clubhouse, Old Park Terrace.

Saturday 10am- 11am
Nursery - Primary 2 age group (Mini Maestros)

Each session lasts 1 hour with the 1st half hour consisting of musical activities and games, these developing each child's musicality, rhythm keeping, listening and fundamental movement skills. The 2nd half hour is a group singing session (similar to a choir format) where we we learn fun, popular songs the children can engage with and develop their vocal ability in the safety and comfort of a group environment.

Saturday 11am- 12pm
Primary 3- 7 age group (Musical Maestros)

Similar to the Mini's session, the class is split into 2 halves, the 1st focusing on musical activities which will enhance a child's musical ability regardless of their starting point. The 2nd half will allow the children to work together as a choir, learning songs from popular music, musical theatre and seasonal favourites, including singing in harmony, learning sign language to accompany our songs and some basic music notation reading.

At the end of each term we will have a small display so our little musicians can show off their hard work and newly learned skills!

There are no prerequisites to join, all we ask is that your child is willing to join in, have fun & make some friends along the way!

The Belfast School of Performing Arts is Northern Irelands leading Theatre School for 3-19 year old. We strive to deliver the highest level of training possible to each and every individual student. As well as providing an exceptionally high standard of theatre tuition and unforgettable theatre experiences, we have strong links with the West-end & Broadway, TV & theatre casting agencies.

Under the guidance of our Artistic Director Peter Corry we focus on helping our students grow in confidence so they can excel within the performing arts world and develop their social skills along the way. Our main emphasis is on fun while we learn and we have a strong creative, happy environment where our students create friendships for life.

We have a firm belief in the ability of Musical Theatre to benefit young people as they grow and develop into young adults. You are never too young to perform and it’s never too late to start learning. We believe that being part of a Theatre School offers a creative outlet to express personalities in a safe environment, and by doing so allows our students to grow into confident adults.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

“Our aim is to raise confidence and self-belief in our students, through developing their performance skills in a safe encouraging environment.”
