  • Belmont Bootcamp Week 3

    Exhilarating sessions in the sun this week folks, with over 400 calories burned off with some of the workouts, including cardio, circuits, bodyweight and Core. All set for more of the same next week.

  • I am starting up my Personal Training sessions again. I can’t wait to get everyone re-started 😁💪

    Following government guidelines the PT sessions have to be outdoors and social distancing rules have to be followed to keep us all safe.

    However, this will not take anything away from the quality of workouts and I will still be able to meet the usual high standards.

    I currently have limited spaces available. Times are also limited but I will do my best to fit you in at your preferred time.

  • I can now take 5 people outside ( Social distancing in place) from Wed. Wed Thursday Friday £12 (paid up front at first session) From next week 5 days consecutive £20 (paid at first session) I can do more than one group but 1 hour apart, is anyone interested?

  • If the lockdown has messed up your normal workout routine and you need something to get you back on track then our regularly posted workouts could be the answer.

  • Remember folks you should do these workouts everyday or at least 3 times a week.

    Take one workout and repeat it for a whole week (or 3 times) then try another one. Or do the Core Workout (Workout no 6) in between or any way you wish, to stop you getting bored.

    Remember to warm up then stretch and cool down (step on spot for 1 minute) then stretch

    Warm up then stretch

    Round 1
    10 Press ups
    10 Double squats (1 Feet close then 1 Feet further apart is 1 rep)
    10 knee tucks
    10 squat Thrusts
    10 Lunges (5 each side)
    Step up or step runs Alternate legs for 3 minutes rest

    Round 2
    10 Crunches
    10 seconds Plank hold
    20 slow bicycles
    10 Sit ups
    10 90% leg raises
    3 minutes step up or step runs Rest

    Repeat Round 1 then Round 2 5 times each

    Finish by doing all the exercises one after each other ie Press up, Crunches Double squats etc,

    Finish with 3 minute step ups.

    (Cool down) step slowly for 1 minute then stretch ‏ — feeling sweat

  • Workout 7 of course - it’s the Magnificent 7

    Warm up: Then begin
    ROUND 1
    one rep of each exercise
    👉Squat
    👉Jacks
    👉Squat Trust
    👉Crunches
    👉Pick-Ups
    👉Knee Tucks

    Run on Spot for 45 Secs 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

    REST. Then 2 reps of each exercise then Run on Spot for 45 secs. Repeat 7 times .(finishing with reps each exercise)

    ROUND 2

    as ROUND 1 except run 30 secs in between each exercise. ie one Press up. Run on spot 30 secs, one Squat run on spot etc then 2 and run 3 and run etc until 7 reps then rest

    ROUND 3
    One rep of each then 2 reps of each then 3 reps of each no running just each exercise one after the other without rest then run 45 secs and rest.

    Then Run on spot (or step up on stairs) 7 minutes (high knee March as an alternative if running too hard or one minute on step one minute run or march.)

    Then Press -ups 7 reps, rest 10 secs then press-ups 6 reps rest 10 secs all the way down to 1 then repeat with Squats 7 down to 1, then the other exercises from 7 to 1 then finish with 7 minutes Run, or run and step, or step run/march

    Cool down with a 1 minute slow march and stretch

  • Fallen into a rut?
    No classes, no gym, no motivation?
    No problem!

    For today’s workout, workout 5, repeat workout 1, but if possible (or if you want to work harder) decrease rest periods and or increase reps and or add extra circuit. If happy with workout as it is fine, remember it’s frequency as well as effort.

    No point in working out 100% hard one day for an hour then doing nothing for the rest of the week. Better doing 70% for 20, 30 mins, 3 or 4 times a wee

    Due to the closure of Wandsworth Community Centre, all bootcamps and Triple 20 classes have been suspended until further notice as a precautionary response to the COVID-19 infection.

    The decision has been made in response to growing public health concerns and to address issues of social distancing which has been identified as a measure to limit the spread of the virus.

    We will continue to monitor the situation and take advice from the health professionals and keep you up to date with any changes.

    Joining a gym can be daunting if you don’t know what exercises to do, or how to use the equipment.

    Going running on your own can be intimidating.

    If you’re a beginner to exercise and you find yourself in this situation, group training could be your solution.

    Joining a class can help build a foundation and structure that you can use to fuel your personal health journey for years to come.

    Let’s take a look at the top 7 benefits:

    💥Motivation
    It's inspiring and motivating to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded people. It doesn't get much more empowering than a class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together. Group fitness is a great way to help motivate yourself and others to dig deeper and push harder in workouts.

    💥Structure
    Group fitness is a great way to get a workout in without having to think or plan. Each class is structured with a warm-up, a balanced workout and a cool-down.

    The warm-up is designed to help you properly raise your heart rate while loosening your joints and muscles before the main activity. The trainer will coach you through each part of the workout. The cool-down will help you safely lower your heart rate and stretch all the major muscles worked during class.

    💥Proper Form
    It's the instructor's job to not only show proper form, but to also make sure that everyone in the class is executing each exercise the right way. Not only is proper form important for your muscles to get the most out of every exercise, but it also helps reduce the risk of injuries.

    💥Variety
    Every group fitness class offers something different, so it keeps your training exciting. It stops boredom setting in, which is very common for people who workout on their own at the gym.

    Having a variety of classes in your weekly workout regimen is a great way to create muscle confusion, which keeps your body guessing and boosts your metabolism.

    💥Accountability
    Having a set time for a workout holds you more accountable. If you know the class is 6:30-7:15pm you’ll be there on time so you don’t miss it. However, if you workout on your own without a set time, it’s really easy to make excuses and keep putting off.

    Both your trainer and other members will support you throughout the workouts. This support group can be just what you need to power through your workout, push yourself a little bit further and reach your health and fitness goals.

    💥Fun
    There's really no other way to put it: group fitness classes
    are fun. Between the upbeat music, a great workout and a group of people motivating each other along the way, it's an enjoyable way to exercise. If you're looking to add a little more fun and enjoyment in your fitness life, group classes may be just what you need.
