  • PLEASE NOTE

    Due to the closure of Wandsworth Community Centre, all bootcamps and Triple 20 classes have been suspended until further notice as a precautionary response to the COVID-19 infection.

    The decision has been made in response to growing public health concerns and to address issues of social distancing which has been identified as a measure to limit the spread of the virus.

    We will continue to monitor the situation and take advice from the health professionals and keep you up to date with any changes.

    It's inspiring and motivating to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded people. It doesn't get much more empowering than a class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together. Group fitness is a great way to help motivate yourself and others to dig deeper and push harder in workouts.

    Group fitness is a great way to get a workout in without having to think or plan. Each class is structured with a warm-up, a balanced workout and a cool-down.

    The warm-up is designed to help you properly raise your heart rate while loosening your joints and muscles before the main activity. The trainer will coach you through each part of the workout. The cool-down will help you safely lower your heart rate and stretch all the major muscles worked during class.

    💥Proper Form
    It's the instructor's job to not only show proper form, but to also make sure that everyone in the class is executing each exercise the right way. Not only is proper form important for your muscles to get the most out of every exercise, but it also helps reduce the risk of injuries.

    💥Variety
    Every group fitness class offers something different, so it keeps your training exciting. It stops boredom setting in, which is very common for people who workout on their own at the gym.

    Having a variety of classes in your weekly workout regimen is a great way to create muscle confusion, which keeps your body guessing and boosts your metabolism.

    💥Accountability
    Having a set time for a workout holds you more accountable. If you know the class is 6:30-7:15pm you’ll be there on time so you don’t miss it. However, if you workout on your own without a set time, it’s really easy to make excuses and keep putting off.

    💥Support
    Both your trainer and other members will support you throughout the workouts. This support group can be just what you need to power through your workout, push yourself a little bit further and reach your health and fitness goals.

    💥Fun
    There's really no other way to put it: group fitness classes
    are fun. Between the upbeat music, a great workout and a group of people motivating each other along the way, it's an enjoyable way to exercise. If you're looking to add a little more fun and enjoyment in your fitness life, group classes may be just what you need.

    If you haven’t tried group training before, I urge you to give it a go. It will give you lots of extra motivation in the build-up to the Summer.

  • The scale isn’t budging…. You are putting in the time, working out and lifting heavier than you have prior. Your clothes are FITTING better and you FEEL smaller but what is going on? That SCALE number isn’t budging or even worse, it keeps going up?

    Did you know that 5 lbs of muscle and 5 lbs of fat may WEIGH the same if you put them on the scale? BUT here is the thing, the same 5lbs in fat takes up so much more VOLUME then the same 5lbs in muscle! Chances are you have heard this, but take a look at this picture, it says 1000 words.

    The same people that say they “know this” are the ones that get upset when they workout intensely, lift heavier weights and wonder why the scale isn’t “drastically” going down. 5 lbs of muscle does NOT weigh more than 5 lbs of fat. The 5 lbs of muscle weighs the SAME as 5 lbs of fat.

    Muscle takes up so much less space than fat. So yes, your weight may not adjust much, but when you replace fat with muscle you will be so much smaller and tighter

  • Anyone from Belmont BootCamp wanting to look their best on the beach?

    It’s now The middle of February only one Thursday left ( hall closed next week) 4 in March 5 in April then 4 in May and 5 in June that’s 18 classes but take away one or possible 2 during Easter that leaves 16 then takeaway the odd night getting hair done, nights out etc and you can see how little time you have left.

    Triple 20 Total Body Conditioning is a high intensity 3 Part training session comprising

    The session is designed to give a fun all over full body workout, using Boxing Drills (not a boxing class, so no need to know how to box!) to relieve stress, as you punch away your daily frustrations and burn calories, Bodyweight and weight or band exercise to strengthen and shape the body while burning calories, cardio to get fit and burn calories and Ab and core work to shape stomach and strengthen the core.
    Every session is different to keep it fun and interesting and suits all Levels - Male and female alike. Gloves and pads provided but you can bring your own if you wish.
