The goals of the Mums NI community is to encourage positive connections between parents, to help inform parents to make the right choices for their themselves and their kids and to contribute to a growing online community of parents in Northern Ireland.

In order to meet the goals of this community we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines that follow.

  • Please do not:
    • Make personal attacks on other community members
    • Use defamatory remarks or make false statements against others
    • Post prejudiced comments or profanity
    • Bully or make inflammatory remarks to other community members
  • Use messaging/email responsibly.  These tools are intended to keep users in touch with one another, to help facilitate networking and to promote common interests.

  • Do not post links to illegal websites

  • Do not post pornography or other adult material.

We will take action when we see someone violating these guidelines. Sometimes that just means giving someone a warning; other times it means revoking certain privileges or accounts entirely.

Reporting System

The Business Directory, Events System, Groups system and Social Posting System all have a "report" feature. We encourage all users to use this system should they feel any posts, businesses or users have broken any of these community standards.

Page, Event and Post Quality

All created pages and events must meet basic quality standards. Mums NI aim to provide the best, most accurate and useful content for the community. Low quality pages and events will not be approved by our moderators.

Examples of low quality Pages and Events include:

  • Pages or Events that serve more than one purpose i.e. "We provide kids parties, but if you're interested in easy income we have a drop-shipping training service"
  • Pages or Events that seem "spammy" i.e. "Loose Weight FAST - New Wonder Drug!"
  • Pages or Events that offer or hint at offering illegal services.
  • Pages or Events that are set up as simple "advertisements". I.e. no page updates, no image updates and no engagement with the community.

Examples of low quality Posts include:

  • "Passive income"
  • "Stop smoking in 3 days with new formula"
  • "Free viagra"

**Mums NI moderators reserve the right to reject page and event submissions if they violate any of the above conditions. Mums NI Moderators also reserve the right to remove any Pages or Events.
