Pamplemousse the grapefruit is upset. And lonely. His mouse neighbours aren't very friendly unless he's crying sweet, juicy tears and what makes it worse is he can't squeeze through their mousehole to try to get to know them. Will he ever find someone who likes him just as he is?
Join us for the heartening tale of Pamplemousse's identity crisis, written and composed for 7-11 year olds by Greg Caffrey. This fully-staged children's opera will be performed by NI Opera and the Hard Rain Soloists Ensemble who will be performing on a range of instruments from the harp to the vibraphone. With wonderful costumes, instrumental music, not to mention singing fruit and mice, this is an experience they will not forget!
There's a free music and craft workshop for children from 1 hour before each performance: just confirm with the venue that you'd like to attend. School groups and teachers: contact us for extra resources and educational materials at firstname.lastname@example.org
Visiting Belfast, Newry, Enniskillen, Omagh, Armagh and Derry/Londonderry at child-friendly performance times: all details in the link. £5 for children, £7 for adults.
