Our annual Harvest Fair family event at The Ballance House will be held on Saturday 5 October 2019, 12 noon – 4pm.
What’s On: Special Guests: Baillies Mills Accordion Band, 1 – 3 pm; and The Ulster Chapter of the Irish Woodturners’ Guide doing demos all afternoon. Guided House & Exhibition tours: 1, 2 & 3 pm (reduced event price £2) Craft Market Apple Sales and tasting Tea Barn Free activities for children: Bouncy Castle Make a Bug Hotel, between 1 & 2 pm Face-painting Apple Stuffing Kids’ crafting Games on the lawn Join a guided tour of the House and Ulster-New Zealand Exhibition to find out who John Ballance was and hear about his many achievements including helping to secure the vote for women. Our craft market will have a lovely range of homemade gifts and tasty treats available. Chat with the RSPB & Woodland Trust and find out how you can help wildlife and our woods. Tea barn open for snacks, light lunches and apple tart. Dog friendly. Free car parking and disabled access. Entrance donation £3 adults, under 14’s £1.50 and under 5’s free. All proceeds go to the running and upkeep of The Ballance House |
