Join us for this interesting, informative and emotive discussion on how we can prepare ourselves for death and digital death led by Steph Nimmo and hosted by Will to Give.

Taking out life insurance and home insurance is the norm here in Northern Ireland. We're also pretty good at preparing for our own funerals with pre-paid funeral plans.

Which makes it very surprising that so few of us prepare our Wills or plan for what we would like to happen to our money, our homes and our keepsakes after we die.

We also now have to consider our digital assets, which are a key part of our legacy. Who will control these after we die?

By sharing her own experiences, Steph will open up a discussion on the things we need to think about in preparing for death and digital death.

We are delighted that Steph, a London-based writer and freelance journalist is joining us for this unique event, a first for Northern Ireland.

She is an “expert by lived experience”. Steph’s youngest daughter Daisy was born prematurely and soon after diagnosed with a rare genetic disease and intestinal failure.

She has written an award-winning blog, Was this in the plan?, documenting her journey and life for 11 years and is the author of two best-selling books around the subject of palliative care, end of life planning and grief.

She has written for many mainstream publications as well as the BMJ and is regularly called to comment in the media.

Steph was widowed in 2016 and lives in Wimbledon with her three children

Steph tweets at @stephnimmo and more details about her work and can be found at www.stephnimmo.com

Will to Give represents over 68 of our best loved charities and works with the legal profession in Northern Ireland to encourage you to consider leaving a charitable gift in your Will.

You can find out more about us here www.willtogive.org.

The event will begin at 7pm with pizza and refreshments as well as an opportunity to chat to your fellow attendees.

Steph will then share her story, followed by an opportunity to ask Steph, Will to Give Representative and a legal professional some questions.
