Our Family Bugs classes are ideal for toddlers and pre-schoolers, but younger siblings get in on the fun too! You do not need to bring more than one child to this group although it’s the perfect choice if you are bringing siblings along. The sessions are designed to welcome all age groups and every activity is adapted so that every single child can enjoy them at their own level. We demonstrate actions suitable for those holding babies and others which older children can do independently.

Family Bugs sessions are the perfect place for older children to prosper in the role of leader, mentor and carer while younger children look up to their older peers and learn from them on so many levels.

With puppets, parachutes, pom poms, bubbles, scarves, hobby horses and percussion, there's something for everyone in a Family Bugs class. Younger siblings under 12 months attend for free and also receive a 25% discount when they turn one.

Try 3 classes for just £13. Discounts are available for multiples, siblings and childminders.

Northern Ireland’s only GIANT LEGO® brick wetland animal trail returns to Castle Espie this spring!

The giant models, some up to twelve times the size of the real wetland animals that inspired them, include Flavia the Andean flamingo, a riot of pink bricks; Emily the Emperor dragonfly, resplendently perched on a LEGO brick reed, and Benedict the Bewick’s swan, magnificently stretching his brick wings.
Over 254,000 LEGO bricks were used to make our wetland animal family, and it took 1,561 hours to make all 14 giant wetland characters, with Fred the Frog taking the longest time to make at a whopping 244 hours!

PLUS! LEGO Brick Workshops (£10 per person, not including admission)

As well as the trail, take part in our unique and popular interactive LEGO brick workshops, perfect for LEGO fans – young and old! Suitable for ages 4+. Children must be accompanied by adults and vice-versa! (The cost of the workshop for each builder is £10, but an adult supervisor can watch for free).

LEGO® workshops take place every weekend between 29 Feb and 5 April, and every day during the Easter school holidays (Mon 6 to Sun 19 April), starting at 12 noon and 2 pm.

Back by popular demand, the hour-long interactive LEGO® brick workshop is perfect for LEGO fans - young and old! After gaining inspiration from our GIANT LEGO brick animals on the trail across our wetlands, put your LEGO skills to the test and see what you can create!

Enjoy a team activity as you race against time (and the other team) to make as many ducklings as you can. Plus take part in an exciting individual challenge as you make a wildlife ranger mini-figure and vehicle for our ‘wetland wildlife safari’ – how far will yours travel? And not forgetting your chance to build your own LEGO brick duck to take home.

Two slots per day: 12 - 1pm and 2 -3pm at £10 per participant. (Suitable for Age 4+)

LEGO workshops take place every weekend between 29 Feb and 5 April, and every day during the Easter school holidays (Mon 6 to Sun 19 April), starting at 12 noon and 2 pm. Click on the book now button above to see available dates.

**Please Note: Adults are to stay with their children throughout the workshop. Children must be age 4+ to take part in workshop.
There is no charge for adults unless they are participating in the workshop games and wish to build and bring home their own lego model.**
