Pre-heat the oven to 170 (160 fan assisted)
grease a loaf tin and line the bottom
Mash 2 ½ ripe bananas in a bowl
In a large baking bowl, combine the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt
In a smaller baking bowl, beat the butter until fluffy and incorporate the sugar
Mix in the eggs one at a time until well blended
Add your mashed bananas and cocoa powder and mix until well mixed in
Add the banana mixture into the flour mixture and stir just to moisten. Don’t over mix
Pour the mixture into your greased and lined loaf tin
Place banana slices on top of the mixture for decoration
Bake in the oven for 55 - 60 mins or until a skewer inserted into the loaf comes out clean
serve warm with fresh cream, toffee sauce and a cup of tea
