Good days out

We've been trying to get a bit more active and get out and about with our little joys. I have to give a big shout out to Castlewellan Forest Park. It's a different world down there. Totally beautiful and a lovely wee dander. \r\n\r\nDon't make the same mistake we did though, this place ISNT part of the national trust, so keep that in mind if you're members, like we are.\r\n\r\nHere's a few pics of why you should head down here for a day out. There's all sorts to do.\r\n\r\nhttps://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/Dv5a3I7iG3\r\nhttps://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/7Q8U6WnPEz\r\nhttps://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/BKDGsGbpiP\r\n\r\nId love your suggestions for any other activities and days out in NI.

Brilliant photos! Castlewllan forest park looks and sounds amazing. We will definitely have to visit there. I highly recommend the giants lair at slievegullion in Newry. Good walk through the forest finding plenty of fairy doors, giants table and cups, outdoor musical section, walk around a big wooden house made by the fairies and massive play park. Picnic area and cafe on site. Toilets onsite too. Great day out!!

Also have to suggest Tannaghmore Gardens in Craigavon as a fabulous day out for kids... little farm with animals to see and feed, hand washing facilities, picnic tables, play park for all ages and beautiful gardens to walk round and everything is free

I agree, Tanaghmore is brill. We are regular visitors. My two love the goat mountain and the tractor. If we have any food waste we always bring it with us for the pigs etc. The goats love apples. It's hard to believe it's free, we love it.

We have been out and about recently and can recommend Delamount Park it's really lovely walks and views, good playground picnic tables and a steam train Also visited Seaforde butterfly house and gardens last Sunday which was gorgeous in the lovely weather and the butterflies were amazing, again lovely walk around the gardens and loads of peacocks running about! A bit pricey though to get in!

I've heard from a few people that carnfunnock park in Larne is brilliant with plenty to do for the kids. Haven't tried it yet so can't say much about it but will definitely be visiting it soon!

Oh I've heard loads of people talk about Carnfunnock, Karwil. All good reports. One of the girls I know took her little girl camping there and said it amazing. There's a big play park and plenty for the kids to be doing. I will have to pay it a visit too and see what the craic is with it.
