How we told our Family the pregnancy news

When we were pregnant with our now 2 year old, we got our then 4 year old daughter to hold up a picture saying "I'm being promoted to Big Sister - March 2015" and took a photo of her. We got it printed out for both sets of Grandparents and presented it to them at around 10 weeks into the pregnancy. It was a shock for both sides of the family, but a very nice shock - they were delighted. We now have that same picture she held up, hanging up in her bedroom.\r\n\r\nFor the rest of our family and friends, we got our 12 week scan done and got our daughter to hold it up and we recorded her saying "My Mummy has a baby in her belly". It was mega cute. We shared this with everyone on our Facebook at around 14 weeks. Again the response was one of shock, but a happy shock. \r\n\r\nThe reason people were shocked was because our daughter was born very premature and we were adamant that we were not going to have any more children. This was widely accepted by everyone. But then we decided to try for another baby and not tell anyone. We tried for a full year before actually becoming pregnant. There will definitely be no more baby announcements from us though. 1 girl and 1 boy that will do us rightly.\r\n\r\nHow did you announce your pregnancy?

With my first we told my parents in s Christmas card with the scan, the second was with his big sister announcing it and our 3rd I told my mum through pictures lol we told my in laws after telling my parents they announced it on Facebook and that's how my work and friends found out... needless to say my in laws won't be announcing anything else like that on Facebook.

oh no!! The curse of Facebook! I'm sure you were non too pleased with that. But your announcements were so cute. I cant even remember how we told the grandparents about our first pregnancy. I can remember having really bad morning sickness from wk7 and I think we just told everyone because I was vomiting every two minutes lol and I was swollen up like a balloon. There wasn't time for any cuteness with that one :D
