It's a Yummy Mummy World

I started out Fatherhood as a stay at home dad, took a brief hiatus in the daytime work world before taking a night job as a Baker and watching my kids durring the day while my wife works. In my first year I realized that my community fell outside the catchment area for the charity responsible for putting on baby and toddler groups so I started my own and ran it for 3 seasons before handing it off to a local Christian charity so that I could focus on building up my community in other ways. I want to encourage all of the growing number of stay at home dad's that your ingenuity is needed in your community to make its programs more vibrant by your presence and more diverse by your leadership in what has up to recently been exclusively a Yummy Mummy World.

hello DanBac welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here . what a wonderful thread :) I agree. I used to go to a baby massage class which was dominated by "Yummy Mummy's" but now there a quite a few Dads who attend. Same for the Rhythm and Rhyme time in my local Library. It's great to see the Dads being active in the groups. What class did you run? How did your participants respond to you being the facilitator? Any club/class i bring my two wee ones to are all ran by women.
