Moving to NI

Hi, just looking for some advice really. We live in Scotland at the moment but moving across to NI in the next 3 months for my husbands work. We were over a few weekends ago looking at houses. We have bought a house in Newtownards. Can anyone tell me about the area? We have a daughter who is 15 weeks, I don't know anyone or know the area so I'm keen to do baby groups to meet people. TIA for your replies x

Hi Christy, We (me, my husband, 3 year old son & 7 month old daughter) don't live too far from Newtownards. It's a convenient location as you're close to Belfast but still have that smaller town feel. In the other direction, you have the Ards Penninsula with Mount Stewart for some lovely walks. I'd recommend checking out local churches for Parent & Tots groups. For a small fee, you get a chat & a cuppa (& a scone if you're lucky!). Hope your move goes smoothly & welcome to Co. Down! Kirsty xoxo
