Working from home?

I have recently started my own business from home and honestly didn’t think it would go as well as it has but I am so happy with how it is going so far! I was just wondering is there anyone else on here that works from home that would have a bit of advice on how to ‘switch off’ from work mode? I hadnt even noticed until it was pointed out to me that I am starting to spend every free minute I have working and I don’t want that, I’d prefer to do my work when I’m working and be able to enjoy my time off like I would if I worked away from home! And tips you have would be much appreciated! Thank you

I work from home occasionally I think you need to have a set time to stop like you would on a normal day at an office, best advice though is not to look at your emails until the next day unless you know something mega urgent is going to come through otherwise you will be sitting all evening checking them and working all over again! Good luck with the business ?

I agree with Claire. You need to have a defined work day.For me, I work while the kids are at school or when they are away to Granny's after school. Then when we collect them that's family time. We down tools and spend quality time as a family. When the kids go to bed, we are back to work again for a few hours. It's really difficult, when it's your own business, to switch off. I think its because you know you need to work extra hard to make it a success. Good luck Nichola, you're doing fab
